VIETNAM WAR CLAIMS LIFE OF KINNETH GLENN EDWARDS

Army Spec. 4 Kinneth Glenn Edwards, 20, was reported killed on November 21st
in Vietnam,  while serving  with the U.S.  Army. He was killed while defending the
perimeter by fragments from enemy mortar fire 28 miles from Pleiku near Dak To.

Glenn Edwards was born November 8, 1947 in Wheeler. He was raised by his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gwyn Edwards and had lived in Wheeler most of his
life. He attended Wheeler Schools. Glenn entered the service in January 1966 and
after being home twice on leave, he was beginning his third tour of duty in Vietnam.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are: His grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Gwyn Edwards of Wheeler; his father
and stepmother: Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Kenneth Edwards of Pasadena, Texas; his
mother and stepfather: Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Jones of Wheeler, one brother: Thomas
Edwards of Wheeler; two half-brothers: Orbie Garrett Edwards of Pasadena; Edwin
Jones, Jr. of Wheeler; three half-sisters: Edna Gail Edwards of Pasadena, Terica
Garlene Edwards of Pasadena, and Rose Marie Jones of Wheeler; and his great
grandfather: Mr. J.R. Edwards of Sparta, North Carolina.

Funeral services are pending with Wright-Denson Funeral Home.
